CIWEM is the leading body that supports and qualifies people working in the water and environmental sector. We offer membership, professional development and networking opportunities; with thousands of members and a head office in London, CIWEM supports members in over 90 countries.
Our members are employed throughout the environment sector, including senior management, engineering and scientific posts in local authorities, water companies, regulatory bodies, consultants, contractors, government departments, universities and conservation organisations.
CIWEM has an important role to play in supporting environmental education from an early stage and opening students’ minds to the diverse range of careers that can be pursued in the sector. We believe that the South Devon UTC is an excellent opportunity to inspire students and to encourage them to think about the influence they can have on water management.
“The UTC will help sow the seeds for future innovation in the industry by providing young people with the skills to tackle the challenges of the coming decades creatively, robustly and inquisitively”. Alastair Moseley, Honorary Vice President of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management
